Upcoming on The Southern Fried Sports Girl is something I will now be calling Freedom Friday, where I will be on the blog all day, answering questions, posing arguments, posting a Tweet of the day (which I might start doing everyday) and the following:

 Georgia @ Vanderbilt Preview: Friday
Geogia @ Vanderbilt Review: Sunday

Freshman running back Isaiah Crowell and the unranked Georgia Bulldogs (4-2, 3-1 SEC) will take their talents to Nashville this weekend, hopefully creating a sweep of the Volunteer state as they take on upstart Vanderbilt (3-2, 1-2 SEC) this Saturday. I will be doing a preview tomorrow and a review on Sunday, plus a preview of other pivotal SEC match-ups in Week 7 of SEC FOOTBALL.

Georgia is 4-1 since donning these awful uniforms in Week 1 against top 10 ranked Boise State, who I still state played more SEC football than Georgia did on that night. Stick with the red and silver britches, and CMR still has a job and has the team hanging in there.

SEC GAMES TO PREVIEW:
Week 7: October 15th
#15 South Carolina (5-1) @ Miss. State (3-3) (12:21)
#1 LSU (6-0) @ Tennessee (3-2) (3:30, CBS)
#2 Alabama (6-0) @ Ole Miss (2-3)  (ESPN 2 6:00)
Florida (4-2) @ #24 Auburn (4-2) (ESPN 7:00)

The Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons
Preview: Saturday, Review: Monday

As number one overall pick Cam Newton makes his first appearance in the Georgia Dome since taking undefeated Auburn past South Carolina and to the BCS National Championship last season, the Falcons (2-3) need to continue to work out of hot-and-cold moments when they matter most. Last Sunday night, after having a two touchdown lead, the Matt Ryan led Falcons let the best team (in my opinion) the Green Bay Packers come back and defeat them 25-14 in the Georgia Dome. Can the Falcons rise up and make this season better? Already staring up at undefeated New Orleans and Tampa Bay, the Falcons come up against their second division game with as many questions and defeats as they had all of last year. The Panthers (1-4) are doing better than most people expected, making Newton an instant starter has rejuvenated a Steve Smith that most people thought were done. More on this on Saturday.

Tweet of the Week

By CNBC Sports Business guru and host of Sports Biz with Darren Rovell tweeted on Saturday about the passing of Oakland Raider main man Al Davis the funniest, but truest thing anyone said on Saturday:

darren rovell
The 1 guy who better show up to Al Davis’ funeral: Jamarcus Russell
While telling this story to a friend on Saturday, my friend laughed and replied, “Do you think Lane Kiffen give him a ride?”
We will see about that.
