If anyone knows me, they know that my favorite professional team is the Atlanta Braves, and my favorite baseball player of all time is Chipper Jones. Everyone also knows, I, as many Braves fans were, to see him go down after he tore his knee up again last summer.

But according to AJC Braves Reporter David O’Brien, Jones took batting practice Friday morning at Turner Field with catcher Brian McCann and former Brave Mark DeRosa, with GM Frank Wren and others watching Terry Pendelton throw soft tosses to him. After a few rounds, all present were impressed with the 38 year olds recovery from surgery on his right knee ligament. The same knee that he has surgery on in 1994, that ended is season while a minor leaguer. Five months after the surgery, looks as though all systems are go for the switch-hitter who has been the crown jewel of the Braves batting order.

I am very excited to see how he fairs in spring training, and I look forward to more videos and reports of his progress. Do not doubt #10!
